We are so grateful that you are traveling all the way from the Philippines to celebrate with us in Vienna. To help make your journey as smooth as possible, we've put together some helpful information for you.
Key Points to Know:
Austria is part of the Schengen Area, which means Philippine passport holders are required to apply for a Schengen short-stay visa (Schengen Tourist Visa-Type C)
Visa processing can take several weeks, so early application is strongly recommended
If you have the time, maximize your stay in the Schengen area by exploring other cities and countries around Austria as well. We recommend visiting Salzburg, Prague, and Budapest—Austria is very well connected by train.
Photocopy important documents (passport, visa, insurance, tickets) and keep digital copies on your phone or email
Inform your bank of international travel to avoid card blocks
Buy an eSIM through Holafly or Airalo
Pack prescription medicines with a doctor’s note if necessary
Download helpful apps such as Google Maps, Google Translate, and your airline app
Bring a universal travel adapter. Austria uses Type C and Type F plugs, voltage is 230V
